    Bags

    Bikepacking bags explained

Each bag position has a purpose. Understanding the system helps you pack smarter and ride more comfortably.

    Saddle bag

Attaches under the saddle and holds the most volume — ideal for sleeping kit, clothing layers, and soft items. Available in multiple sizes depending on trip length.

    Frame bag

Fits inside the main triangle of the bike frame. Carries dense items like tools, snacks, and first aid. Keeps weight central and low for balanced handling.

    Handlebar bag

A roll or harness bag attached to the handlebar. Great for a sleeping bag, camping kit, or soft volume that does not need frequent access during the ride.

    Top tube bag

A small bag along the top tube for easy-reach items: phone, snacks, cards, lip balm. Designed for quick access without stopping.

    Fork bags

Bags that attach to the fork legs for extra volume on longer or camping-style trips. Available on selected setups where fork clearance allows.

    What To Bring

    • Waterproof jacket or gilet
    • Casual clothes for evenings and travel days
    • Phone and charging cable
    • Passport or ID
    • Bank card
    • Medication and personal items
    • Sunglasses and sunscreen for summer routes

    Packing Styles

    Different trips, different packs

    Hotel setup

Pack light — a small saddle bag or handlebar roll handles everything when accommodation is booked each night. No camping kit needed.

    Camping setup

A larger saddle bag plus frame and handlebar volume carry a sleeping system, shelter, and layers. Plan for heavier loads and adapt your daily distance.

    Lightweight setup

Minimise every category — fast and agile, ideal for road-focused routes and confident riders who know exactly what they need.

    E-bike setup

Battery weight means you carry less kit everywhere else. Keep bags lean and use the range for bigger days and longer stops.
